Planning Your Memorial at Sea
Follow the steps below to begin planning your attended, unattended, or blended memorial service.
At 5 More Minutes Charters, every Memorial at Sea is crafted with care, ensuring a meaningful and dignified farewell. To help us provide a ceremony that reflects your wishes, we’ve created a simple process to guide you.
Step 1: Decide on the Ceremony Type
Choose the service that best fits your family’s needs: Attended Memorial, Unattended Memorial, or Blended Memorial Ceremony. Each offers a unique way to honor your loved one with care and respect.
Attended Memorial Ceremony: Join up to five loved ones for an intimate service three miles offshore. Participate in the scattering of ashes, accompanied by flowers and peaceful reflection. This option allows for a personal farewell at sea.
Unattended Memorial Ceremony: A dignified choice for those unable to attend. The ashes are respectfully scattered three miles offshore by our crew. Families receive photos, videos (if requested), and documentation with GPS coordinates for remembrance.
Blended Memorial Ceremony: Perfect for those seeking a combination of inshore and offshore services. Gather inshore for a flower service while the ashes are later scattered offshore. This option provides a meaningful way to honor a loved one without venturing far from the coast.
Step 2: Complete the Planning Form
Provide us with essential details about your loved one and your preferences for the ceremony, including flowers, type of service, and personal touches. The form is quick, secure, and helps ensure every detail is perfect.
Step 3: Connect with Captain Darren
After submitting the form, Captain Darren will review your details and contact you to finalize the arrangements. Whether it’s scheduling, additional requests, or guidance, we’re here to help.
