How to Get On the Boat
Accessing the boat can be done by stepping over the rails or stepping on the platform on the back of the boat.

Deposit Policy
To secure your reservation, we require a minimum deposit when booking. This initial payment ensures your spot on the tour and allows us to prepare for your upcoming experience.
The remaining balance can be processed with our reservation system or settled at the dock on the day of your tour. We accept cash payments for ease and offer the option to use the card on file, providing flexibility and convenience in managing your payment.
Cancellation Policy
At 5 More Minutes Charters, your safety is our top priority. In adverse weather conditions, Captain Darren may need to cancel up to 2 hours before departure if it is deemed unsafe. In such cases, we will promptly refund your payment if rescheduling is impossible.
Customers can cancel their scheduled tour with a full refund if the cancellation is made up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. However, please remember that after this 48-hour window, Captain Darren reserves the right to retain all funds already paid, including fees, deposits, and total payment amounts. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests.

Sunrise and Sunset Tours: Meet at the coordinated boat ramp based on a sunset schedule. Time varies throughout the year.
Scenic Waterway Day Tour, Family Fishing Charter, and Special Moments Tours have different start times. We offer various times and tour lengths that can fit your schedule.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your reservation at the Morningstar Marina Public boat ramp located at the corner of W.West Street and Brunswick St. Closest GPA address is:

Our sunset cruise is designed to allow ample time for wildlife viewing, relaxation, and, of course, to savor the sunset itself.
Expect the journey to last 2 hours, during which you’ll be treated to some of the most beautiful sunsets our Carolina coast has to offer.
While the summer daylight may be warm, it can get cooler out on the water, especially in the evening.
We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater to ensure you’re comfortable as you enjoy the sunset and the sea breeze.
Please wear only flat shoes on the boat. Flip flops or boat shoes are preferred. For your safety no heels are allowed on the boat.
There is a bathroom onboard. Due to layout and configuration of the vessel, the bathroom is not handicap accessible. Marine toilets clog easily, please limit the amount of toilet paper you use, flush multiple times if necessary. Human waste and single-ply marine toilet paper only!
We do allow infants and they are counted as a paying guest. Please note that under the age of 13 are required to wear a life jacket at all times while on board the vessel. We provide life jackets of various sizes, including those for infants.
Cooler, ice, and bottled water. We encourage our guests to bring their own snacks and beverages to enjoy during the boat ride.
Please do not bring glass bottles or spray sunscreen.
You’re welcome to bring food and alcohol on board the boat.
Our boat is not currently equipped with specific handicap accessibility features. However, we’re committed to accommodating all guests to the best of our ability.

Generally, parking is fine during the off-season. Unfortunately, parking can be problematic during high season (June -August). In this case, we recommend carpooling, using ride-share services, or being taken to the drop-off point.
Yes they do! Our crew members and captain work in the service industry and tips are GREATLY appreciated! If you have a great time, please show your gratuity and tip the crew.
At least 15 mins before the scheduled departure time. We will use this time to verify waivers, finalize payment, and review safety procedures.
Yes, we have a covered area available around our bow (front) area. The inside cabin (seating for 4) offers protection from the wind, sun, and rain.
Yes, you are allowed to bring your own coolers with beverages and snacks. Please do not bring glass containers.
For motion sickness, consider trying over-the-counter medications like Dramamine or Bonine, wearing acupressure wristbands, focusing on a fixed point in the distance, facing the direction you are traveling, and staying well-hydrated.

We’re happy to consider extending the ride on Passage Paid if our schedule permits. Additional fees may apply.
